Issue in adding a new child under Family Dependents ESS

Hi all,

We are using Web Dynpro ABAP based Personal Profile application. When adding the first child as a dependent; we are getting the following options for the validity:

The Valid as of Today option will automatically consider the current date

The Valid From option will also automatically consider the current date; however we can change it but it should start from maximum an year less or later.

In the above example; it should start from 05.05.2015 or later.

The Valid From/To option; we can give the dates.

From : It will automatically consider the current date. We can change the date but it must start from 05.05.2015 or later.  To : It will automatically consider 31.12.9999, we can change it.

Now suppose we want to add an additional child. We get the same screen as above.

But now, for the existing child we no longer get the above screen but a different screen as below:

Can anyone please confirm if this is the intended behavior of the application or Is there some bug in the standard application?

Also, If this is the standard behavior is any documentation available for this? Please let us know.
